With the temps finally starting to skyrocket here in L.A., we've been looking for the perfect refreshing summer cocktail recipe. While old standbys like the piña colada will always hold a special place in our heart, we have been craving something a little more grown-up, and a little less likely to give us an insane spike in blood sugar. Say hello to the perfect recipe: Sweet Peach Tea Cocktail. Inspired by the sweet tea of the South, we invented this recipe to be strong on tea flavor and not overly sweet. Of course, you can amp up the sugar factor if you choose! 


1 1/2 cups iced black tea, brewed very strong

1 1/2 ounces (one shot) peach schnapps

1 1/2 ounces (one shot) vodka

Sliced peaches

Directions: In a tall glass with ice, add tea, schnapps, and vodka. Stir with a spoon to incorporate. Add sliced peaches. Voila!

Note: If you're craving more sugar, you can either add more schnapps or agave. Warning: more schnapps = more drunk, even if you can't taste the extra alcohol. One tablespoon of agave should give you a drink that's quite sweet--similar to Southern sweet tea.
