Finding a kindred spirit in life is sorta like discovering you were born with a long lost twin. You have all of this inherent history from having shared a womb plus you are so similar it can get definitely feel cosmic. If Annie and I had met earlier in life, we probably would have decided to start a garden (complete with wardrobe, hair, and makeup), concoct a witches brew to help the sprouts get strong, and grow some larkspur flowers since they were pretty. Becoming friends, working together, sharing our life's ambition, well that was all quite natural.
Fourth attempt at gracefully walking between bamboo shoots...
It's Annie birthday tomorrow and in celebration of the lovely person she is, I wanted to use today's post to say happy birthday to this amazing lady. Annie is smart, thoughtful, nurturing, supportive, and a wholehearted friend. She is complex, silly, wise beyond her years, and pushes me to be my best. I am incredibly grateful to have her in my life. She deserves the world!
Chasing your dreams is hard. It is entirely rewarding, but it's scary. I get to do it with a best friend, which makes me very lucky. When I am nervous or unsure, I have someone to talk to. When I am excited I have someone to dance with. That's what life is all about.
Behind the scenes shot, yup.
So happy birthday Annie! Love you :)
