It's time to introduce Pine & Crane, to Silverlake, to Los Angeles, to the world. This new Taiwanese restaurant has all the makings to becoming one of my favorite restaurants in this city. The atmosphere is relaxed and organic with family style seating, you order at the counter and get a peek into the kitchen, they've got delightfully sweet Boba and an array of teas, and their food is to die for.
Annie and I stopped in last Thursday night around 8pm, the wait was short and the food arrived promptly. Seriously readers, the combination of sweet, savory, spicy, pickle-y, was on point and exciting. We applaud (and thank) you Vivian Ku, owner and chef, for bringing these flavors into our neighborhood! We just can't get enough.
For an interview with Vivian, be sure to check out our close friend Justin Bolois' article here!
Next time, we plan on purchasing their amazing spring vegetables by the pound!
