Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Hollywood Bowl's tribute to Alfred Hitchcock with my parents. My dad is a huge Hitchcock buff and I remember watching many of the films as a kid. The show spotlighted the music of some of the director's best known films with scenes projected on the screens as the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (conducted by my friend Diana's dad Dave Newman--a stunning musician and composer) played along. It's been years since I revisited some of the suspense master's films, and now I have the insatiable urge to rewatch some of my favorites. Good thing it's a holiday weekend! To Catch a Thief, Strangers on a Train, and North by Northwest are queued up on my computer and ready to go!
